Merry Christmas 2010
I wish I could say that I woke at 4am because I was excited to be the first up for Christmas morning but sadly I can’t. I got up early because I had to get ready for work.
There’s few things harder in this world for a family man than missing Christmas morning with his family. It’s killing me as I sit in a cold car watching vacant streets around me thinking of my wife and little girl at home having Christmas breakfast without me. We celebrated last night but for even that I was held up late at work.
Despite having to work through the holidays this year it’s still a hallmark holiday. My little girl is 21 months old and is beginning to realize what Christmas is all about. All about to a little kid anyway. I take comfort knowing she’ll spend most, if not all, of the day today playing with her new toys. I’ll have to wait till the end of the day to play with mine.
All the best during this holiday season to you and yours. Be safe and have fun. To those working today I offer and extra special holiday greeting. Someone’s gotta keep the wheels turning on the big machine of life.
Merry Christmas one and all!!
